Math, science, architecture, and team work all converge as teams of students work together to study and build a variety of geometric structures. Students participate in the construction of a 2 story geo-structure that seats 30 people! By using lightweight pvc pipe to erect large scale geo-structures, students visualize the principles, relationships, terminology, classification, and real world relevance of their constructions. An immensely rich source of ideas for integrating across the curriculum and for staff development (up to 75 students/workshop).

This 50-75 minute program can often accommodate an entire school population by repeating throughout the day. Although most appropriate for grades 2—6, students as young as five years old have shown the abilities to construct these shapes and grasp the underlying ideas that they represent. This program is equally appropriate for junior and senior high school students for the extension of thinking skills by way of applied geometry. An all-day in-depth format is also available for older groups.  Workshops align nicely with the STEM frameworks and the element of cooperative group work remains strongly inherent within any aged group.
